Colin Thubron is an acclaimed travel writer and novelist, and the winner of many prizes and awards. His travel books concern Russia, China and Central Asia, and include Behind the Wall, In Siberia, Shadow of the Silk Road and most recently The Amur River: between Russia and China. From 2008 to 2017, he served as President of the Royal Society of Literature.
